Kazakhstan intends to join a global chain of "halal-manufacturing"

Almaty. May 4. INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN - the First vice-minister of national economy Ruslan Dalenov participated in the 3rd meeting of joint Kazakhstan-Malaysian trade and economic committee in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), the press service of Ministry of Economics on Thursday reported.

"R. Dalenov told about the prospects of accession of Kazakhstan to a global chain of "halal-manufacturing", having noted extensive experience of Malaysia as one of the largest hubs of the halal-industry in the world", - it is specified in the message.

According to the press service, R. Dalenov noted that Malaysian experience in development of small and average business, trade, tourism is of the greatest interest to Kazakhstan.

"Questions in trade, transport, tourism, information and communication technologies and innovations, investments, development of small and medium business, agriculture, Islamic financing are discussed", - it is said in the message.

Halal-industry, Islamic financing, tourism, renewable energy, oil and gas, investment cooperation working groups on cooperation in the following directions are also created.

Besides, within the meeting the business forum "New Business Opportunities in Kazakhstan" took place on May 3, and also a number of meetings with representatives of large business of Malaysia are held.

"Following the results of the 3rd meetings the protocol is signed", - it is said in information.

Commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Malaysia following the results of 2016 made $82,9 million.
