THE 28TH CENTRAL ASIAN INTERNATIONAL FOOD INDUSTRY EXHIBITION, FOODEXPO QAZAQSTAN 2026, WILL TAKE PLACE IN ALMATY FROM NOVEMBER 11 TO 13, 2026. THIS YEAR, FOR THE FIRST TIME, THE EXHIBITION WILL BRING TOGETHER MORE THAN 600 COMPANIES FROM 35 COUNTRIES AND OCCUPY OVER 15,000 SQ. M OF EXHIBITION SPACE, REFLECTING THE GROWING INTEREST OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSES IN THE MARKETS OF KAZAKHSTAN AND CENTRAL ASIA.
Central Asia: A Growing Market for the Food Industry
FoodExpo Qazaqstan is expanding amid the rapid development of the region’s food industry.
In Kazakhstan, food production increased by 8.4% in 2025, while beverage production grew by 9.7%. This positive trend continued in 2026, with food production rising by a further 14.7% in the first half of the year compared with the same period of the previous year.
At the same time, Kazakhstan is strengthening its focus on agricultural processing. In 2025, 53 investment projects in the processing sector with a total value of KZT 120.4 billion were commissioned in the country. From January to April 2026, fixed capital investment in the sector exceeded KZT 389 billion, more than doubling year on year. Exports of processed products reached USD 3.6 billion and accounted for 51.4% of the country’s total agricultural exports.
For international manufacturers, this momentum is creating broader opportunities not only to supply finished food products and beverages but also to offer ingredients, processing and other technological equipment, packaging and other solutions for the food industry.
Against the backdrop of these developments, FoodExpo Qazaqstan is becoming a platform for entering Central Asia’s growing market, finding distributors and trading partners, presenting new products and developing international cooperation.
More Than 600 Companies and Five FoodExpo Qazaqstan Pavilions
In 2026, FoodExpo Qazaqstan will demonstrate significant growth in both exhibition space and international reach.
For the first time, the exhibition area will exceed 15,000 sq. m and bring together more than 600 companies from 35 countries. FoodExpo Qazaqstan will occupy five pavilions at the Atakent Kazakhstan Centre for Business Cooperation: Nos. 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. The exhibition will present the key sectors of the food industry: food products and beverages; ingredients, additives and spices; food production equipment and technologies; packaging, containers and labels.
The scale of the exhibition will enable trade visitors to explore both new products and brands, as well as solutions for production, processing and packaging, all at a single venue.
Asia Significantly Expands Its Presence
One of the key features of FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2026 will be the significant expansion of the Asian exhibition.
Manufacturers and suppliers from Vietnam, India, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Japan and other countries in the region will participate on a large scale.
China alone will be represented by more than 100 companies showcasing food products, ingredients, equipment and packaging solutions.
The halal sector will receive particular attention. For the first time, companies from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore will present their products as part of the halal exhibition.
The expanded presence of Asian companies significantly strengthens the international dimension of FoodExpo Qazaqstan and creates additional opportunities for establishing business relations between Asian manufacturers and buyers, distributors and partners from Central Asia.
Countries of Europe, the CIS and Central Asia Expand the Exhibition’s Geography
The active presence of European companies at FoodExpo Qazaqstan reflects the strengthening of trade and economic ties within the international market. The European sector will feature technology and equipment suppliers from Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland and other countries.
This year, the extensive exhibition of Polish manufacturers will include not only suppliers of food products and beverages represented at the national stand organised with the support of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and KOWR, but also companies offering ingredients, packaging and equipment.
Companies from the EAEU countries will traditionally maintain a strong presence at the exhibition.

From Food Products to Technology and Advanced Processing
Growth in food production and investment in processing are shaping another important area of development for FoodExpo Qazaqstan.
In 2026, the exhibition will feature a specialised Technology Pavilion No. 11, which will bring together equipment and solutions for processing agricultural products. The exhibition will showcase technologies for the dairy and meat industries, filling lines, bakery and confectionery equipment, food ingredients and modern packaging solutions.
A dedicated section will focus on food ingredients. Allwin, Rustark, Progast, CIS Market, Bart and other companies will present their products.
Solutions for bakery and confectionery production will be demonstrated by Gummi, Adil, Neos, Rodals, Favorit Techno, Food Tekhnika and other companies.
FoodExpo Qazaqstan is therefore evolving from a traditional food exhibition into a comprehensive B2B platform that brings together finished products, ingredients, production, processing, technology and packaging.
Food Business Forum: Market, Retail and Technology
An important new feature in 2026 will be the Food Business Forum 2026, a new professional discussion platform addressing current issues in the food industry, FMCG and retail.
For the first time, the forum will bring together representatives of manufacturing companies, retail chains, distribution businesses and the expert community to discuss practical aspects of market development. The forum will be held in partnership with INFOLine, an information and consulting agency specialising in market monitoring, business analytics and industry research.
On November 11, the focus will be on the food markets of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, the development of FMCG retail, retail-chain requirements and practical aspects of launching new products on the market.
On November 12, AI & Digital Food Day will be held, focusing on the use of artificial intelligence and digital solutions in the food industry, from business process automation and AI systems to logistics, sales and assortment management.
For manufacturers, participation in the business programme will provide an opportunity not only to obtain up-to-date market information but also to better understand retail requirements and identify promising areas for business development in the region.
FoodExpo Qazaqstan: Access to Opportunities in Central Asia
The expansion of the exhibition, combined with strong growth in food production, investment in processing and increased export activity, is creating demand for new products and brands, ingredients, technologies, equipment and packaging solutions. This interest demonstrates that Central Asia is becoming a strategic destination for business development.
For international manufacturers, FoodExpo Qazaqstan is an opportunity to present their products to a professional audience, establish contacts with potential distributors and trading partners, study market needs and use Almaty as a platform for developing business not only in Kazakhstan but throughout Central Asia.
FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2026 will take place from November 11 to 13 at the Atakent Kazakhstan Centre for Business Cooperation in Almaty.
