Polish Food – Exceptional Quality and Taste
Poland is a leading EU producer and exporter of food. Over the last 20 years, the value of Polish agri-food exports has increased nearly tenfold, reaching EUR 51.8 bln in 2023, up by 8.1% and 37.8% compared to 2022 and 2021, respectively.
Favourable geographical and natural conditions, along with the dynamic development of agriculture and the processing sector, make Poland’s agri-food product range rich, diverse, and competitively priced.
Poland’s top exports are meat products, cereals and their products, as well as dairy products. These account for around 40% of the country’s agri-food exports. Polish producers also offer excellent fish products, fruit and vegetables (both fresh and processed), frozen foods, beverages, and confectionery, along with superb baby and children’s food. There is also a rapidly growing range of products made from organic raw materials. In addition, Poland has a remarkable selection of ready meals, instant products, semifinished products, additives and spices.
Among Polish fruits, apples reign supreme. Thanks to ideal natural conditions and centuries-old orchard traditions, Poland is a leading global producer and exporter of these fruits.
Poland’s apple orchards cover an area of 152,000 hectares, the largest in Europe. Annual apple production is between 4 and 5 million tonnes.
Polish apples include many varieties, prized for their juiciness, flavour and crispness. Sustainable farming practices and strict standards ensure excellent quality. In 2023, apples were exported to 77 countries, with Egypt and Kazakhstan being the largest non-EU recipients.
Polish apples are an excellent addition to the range offered by local producers.
Frozen Fruit and Vegetables

1 billion. Polish producers offer a wide range of frozen fruit, vegetables, and ready meals. High-quality and efficient logistics solutions ensure that the taste of Polish frozen products is appreciated in many countries worldwide.
Poland is a global leader in the production and export of chocolate and confectionery.

Polish manufacturers offer classic chocolate confectionery – pralines, chocolates, chocolate-covered fruits and nuts, as well as bars. Vegan and artisan chocolates are also growing in popularity. Sweets without chocolate are also worth mentioning. These include delicious jellies, gummies, dragées and hard candies.
Cereal and Bakery Products
The favourable lowland terrain supports crop production. Poland is a leading EU producer of cereals and cereal products, including flour, flakes, groats, pasta, bread, and bakery products. Traditional Polish bread is renowned worldwide for its taste, texture, crispy crust, and aroma.
The range of Polish products includes traditional wheat, rye, barley and oat breads, as well as dietary products (e.g. gluten-free, crispbread), catering to consumers with particular needs.
Dairy Products
Poland’s favourable conditions for dairy farming, with small herds and natural feed, yield milk and dairy products of superior taste and nutritional values. In 2022, Poland produced 15.2 million tonnes of milk, exporting 4.8 million tonnes.
Dairy bestsellers from Poland include cheese and cottage cheese, milk and cream, butter and fermented drinks. Powdered products such as milk, whey and casein also play an important role in Polish processing industry and exports.
Meat Products
Poland is a leading EU producer and exporter of meat products, including poultry, beef, and pork. Thanks to modern and sustainable farming methods, attention to animal welfare, and strict control over every stage of production, Polish products are rich in nutrients and have high dietary value.
In meat production and processing, national quality systems are used, which exceed stringent EU standards. These include the Quality Assurance of Food Products (QAFP) for pork and poultry, and the Quality Meat Programme (QMP) for beef. All stages of production, from farming to the final product, are certified under these systems.
This offering is aimed at the most demanding customers seeking premium brands.

a beneficial effect on the body.
